Hair Follicle Testing
Hair Follicle Testing is one of the only ways to get a long term in depth assessment (about 90 days using head hair and 1 year using body hair) to determine if someone has been using drugs. This is a great test for an employer or parent and the one courts use for almost all child custody cases. Simple specimen collection and highly accurate results that meet the same reference standards as urine testing. In addition, there are no known reliable methods for cheating this test.
Negative results are reported within 48 hours of receipt at the laboratory, and positive results are confirmed using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) or gas chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (GC/MS/MS) within 72 hours. Hair testing is also forensically defensible. Medical Review Officer (MRO) is included at no additional cost, if needed, to make sure you don't get a positive result because of a valid prescription.
